Seeking the better solution requires putting your ego aside
To discover great ideas we need to open up for many new ideas, and go through a process of testing and evaluating those ideas. Usually we work in cross-functional teams, made up of people with different skills and experience levels. Throughout the creative process we need to find a balance between hard-earned long-term experience and a fresh look full of ignorance and curiosity. Both are indispensable.
Especially in the early ideation phase of a new product, feature, brand identity, or campaign, it’s that egoless commitment to ditch individual competence and position, but instead honestly seek a deeper understanding of the matter. It’s the willingness to take a closer look before dismissing new ideas that paves our way forward.
An open mind knows there’s always more to explore and to learn.
Little Big Details“Wanting to learn is far more important than being right.”
